China Beijing TV Station (BTV) has selected the Envivio 4Caster C4 Gen III encoders to power its IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) services to Internet and mobile devices.
BTV currently offers 12 SD channels and three HD broadcast TV channels, with plans to launch Internet TV and mobile TV services shortly. more
European outside broadcast and uplink service provider SIS LIVE has chosen an Eyeheight canalettoMDi multistandard color corrector for use during coverage of the 2012 Grand National steeplechase on April 14.
Installed in one of several vehicles, which will be on site from the SIS LIVE fleet, the canalettoMDi will receive live high-definition video of the event from a gyro-stabilized camera aboard a helicopter. It will allow fast adjustment of color balance to match feeds from other cameras positioned along the course. more
Mosart Medialab will unveil interfaces for its Mosart Newscast Automation 3.0 with Harris Nexio and Grass Valley K2 video servers, Calrec and Stagetec audio mixers, Casper, Xpression and Pixel Power graphics, Brainstorm Virtual Studio, and Camerobot systems.
The company has extended the open newscast automation system with support for Annova’s OpenMedia and Octopus in addition to ENPS, iNEWS, Dalet News and NorCom. Mosart now supports eight manufacturers of audio mixers, five manufacturers of video switchers, nine brands of video servers, nine graphics systems and six camera robotics systems — as well as simultaneous use of gear from multiple camera robotic vendors. more

At the 2012 NAB Show, I-MOVIX will show its new X10 system, an ultra-motion solution to deliver real-time, continuous extreme slow motion in full HD at 300fps (or 600fps in 720p).
Developed in partnership with EVS, the X10 system is used with an EVS XT3 production server under Multicam LSM control. The X10 system is designed for continuous slow motion at frame rates in excess of existing systems. The system offers a consistent and familiar user interface and controls. more

Telestream will make the NAB Show debut of its new Pipeline Replay system, a multichannel video player that combines with Pipeline HD systems to provide video capture and instant, synchronous playback of multiple high-definition camera feeds.
The Replay system allows race or game officials to easily locate any camera and scrub forward or backward through any portion of the video. more
