Matt Ivey has been named president of the Atomos U.S. subsidiary and is taking responsibility for all North American operations, including logistics, sales, and research and development projects.
Ivey joins Atomos from Grass Valley, where he was a senior product manager for the video server product line. Based in Oregon, Ivey will be responsible for the business development of Atomos’ field recording and conversion equipment in the U.S. production industry. He will work alongside channel sales manager Matthew Stonking.
Bruce Rosenblum, president of Warner Bros. Television Group and newly installed chairman/CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and Ben Silverman, founder and chairman of multimedia studio Electus, will speak at the upcoming 2012 NAB Show, April 14-19 in Las Vegas, NV. Rosenblum will speak during the April 17 Super Session from noon until 1 p.m. Silverman will deliver the keynote address to the Disruptive Media Conference on April 17 from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
A 25-year veteran of Warner Bros., Rosenblum was named president of the Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) in 2005, where he oversees worldwide production (network, cable, syndication and animation), as well as traditional and digital distribution and broadcasting. more

Audio metering and control device specialist RTW has appointed Anthony Wilkins as its new international sales manager. Wilkins is an English native speaker and has lived and worked in Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland. His main role will be to control and coordinate RTW’s international sales from the corporate headquarters at Cologne.
Wilkins has more than 25 years of experience in the pro audio industry and is currently completing his MBA.
At the 2012 NAB Show, Rich Chernock, CTO of Triveni Digital, will present during a pair of sessions on the topic of Internet Connected Television.
During the IEEE BTS tutorial on April 16, Chernock will deliver a presentation entitled “Broadcast and the Internet Connected TV.” On April 18, he will present at the “Connected Television – Relationship to the Broadcaster” series. more

Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC) Group in Dubai has installed the Software Generation (SGL) FlashNet as a key element of its new digital workflow to support the launch of its bouquet of HD channels.
The broadcaster selected SGL FlashNet because of its Open System architecture, which provides compatibility with MBC’s broadcast, storage and server systems, as well as its maturity as a broadcast archive management system. more
