EVS CleanEdit 3.00 supports multi-format and multi-resolution editing

EVS (C12124) announced a new software suite called CleanEdit 3.00. It is optimized for the production of news and sports highlight clips. It also comes with new features, such as simultaneous multi-format and multi-resolution support on the same timeline.

Pierre L’Hoest, CEO of EVS said, “The 3.00 suite of CleanEdit is a major improvement for the EVS non-linear editing brand. The significant developments in terms of multi-formats/multi-resolution support, and integration with our XT[2] production server, makes it an advanced solution for all broadcasters looking to optimize their news and sports highlights production, or simply to expand their existing live sport production workflow with intuitive and fast timeline editing functions.”

CleanEdit 3.00 supports HD and SD mixed content and manages different resolutions in the same timeline, allowing on-the-fly editing with no transcoding required. The up and down conversion is automatically handled during editing and playout to match the pre-selected resolution of the project. ”

A new metadata feature allows users to customize metadata profiles according to content types and models. Users can extend existing static data metadata models with additional fields to build custom applications.

CleanEdit 3.00 also integrates a new CG, which supports the use of pre-defined and customized text/graphic templates, text and graphic inserts without rendering.
