AMD will unveil the AMD FirePro V7900 and V5900, the new flagship models of its workstation-class professional graphics cards at IBC2011.The cards reduce the cost and complexity of immersive visualization applications, such as stereoscopic 3-D.

Emerging market TV shipments to grow over next five years, says IMS Research
The market for television sets in developing regions is projected to grow over the next five years, while TV shipments in the rest of the world are expected to either decline or stabilize, according to an update from research firm IMS Research.
IMS Research, which last month announced an update of its “Television Shipment Database and Forecast,” forecasts that in the next five years TV set shipments will increase in Latin America, Eastern Europe, MEA and most of Asia Pacific, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.2 percent. more…
International Satellite-Industry Forum to take aim at interference
Satellite interference, which each year causes millions of dollars in losses to the satellite industry, will be in the crosshairs of industry professionals at this year’s International Satellite-Industry Forum, Sept. 8 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Amsterdam.

IBC Production Village, IBC Big Screen to feature latest in acquisition, exhibition technologies
Production and digital cinema exhibition will take center stage during IBC2011 in Amsterdam, Sept. 8-13, at the IBC Production Village and the IBC Big Screen.
At the IBC Production Village, those attending the convention will get the chance to get hands-on with cutting-edge camera technologies. Stereoscopic 3-D cameras, DSLRs and specialty cameras will be on hand for attendees to compare and rate. A variety of camera equipment will be available for attendees to evaluate.
