Miranda offered a new solution that simplifies the integration of multiple video formats around a facility. Instead of using multiple interfacing cards and dedicated devices, this card provides a single module solution for high quality video and audio processing. A one card solution minimizes costs, simplifies video and audio integration, and also substantially reduces cabling requirements.’ more
Thomson Grass Valley has expanded its line of Triton compact routing switchers with the debut of the new Thomson Grass Valley Triton Plus series. Triton Plus has a reduced frame size, but expanded scalability and support for the highest quality AES110 Ohm audio and 3 Gb/s video signals. The new small footprint router is ideal for demanding AV environments where small size, low weight and affordability are critical. more
Blackmagic is changing the rules on video routing with the launch of its 3Gb/s Broadcast Videohub. The Videohub provides 3Gb/s SDI connectivity, routing any SD, HD or 3Gb/s HD-SDI video format. The router provides 72 SDI inputs, 144 SDI outputs, 72 deck control ports, twin redundant power connections, SDI re-clocking, and 3Gb/s SDI technology all in a compact 8 rack unit chassis less than 1in deep.
The router provides 72 independent Sony-compatible RS-422 serial control ports included so users can access and control external decks. Each deck control connection is independently reversible via software control, so it’s easy to connect edit stations or decks to any of the control ports. more
QuStream is showing its wide selection of router frames up to 1024×1024 in a single rack. In addition was the company’s addition of 3Gb/s processing to the entire Cheetah range of routers which enables broadcasters to handle 1080p signals.
QuStream’s Cheetah new V5 DVI-I link enables long distance delivery of DVI-I video or VGA component video and stereo audio via a single optical fiber or coax cable. It also allows DVI video to be routed via a conventional routing switcher technology over secure optical fiber. more
Clear-Com Communication Systems, a Vitec Group brand, launches Version 5.0 of its highly robust Eclipse Digital Matrix System. Acting as a central switching unit for communications across a broadcast operation, the new Eclipse Digital Matrix Version 5.0 offers more connectivity options between frames and panels, expands the Digital Signal Processing and “Listen Again” capabilities on V-Series user panels, and simplifies the user interface of its configuration software. Clear-Com demonstrates these capabilities at IBC, Stand 9.C40a. Read on in the Briefing Room…

Miranda Technologies is highlighting several new products, one of which, the Densite series XVP-3901, provides advanced video and audio processing on a single card making it ideal for Ingest/transmit feeds. The module accepts 3G/HD/SD signals via BNC or fiber; providing simultaneous 3G/HD and SD outputs. Signals can be up/down/crossconverted and frame synchronized. The black side panels introduced during up/downconversion can be filled using an integral background keyer.
Miranda is located in stand 8.B80.
