The 135mm for the 5/i set has T1.4 speed and the 5/i’s signature focus ring that illuminates when required, eliminating the need for external lights that affect the shot.


The Panchro 135mm joins the smaller, lighter weight set at T2.8 and adds further value to this lower-cost lens range. more

Civolution to debut VideoSync in Europe at IBC2011

Civolution will make the European debut of the VideoSync device synchronization solution as well as unveil enhancements for its Teletrax platform.


Based on Civolution’s watermarking and fingerprinting technologies, VideoSync allows for accurate and rapid synchronization of interactive content. Civolution will demonstrate some enhanced TV applications and second-screen applications for the iOS and Android-based portable devices. more

AMD will unveil the AMD FirePro V7900 and V5900, the new flagship models of its workstation-class professional graphics cards at IBC2011.The cards reduce the cost and complexity of immersive visualization applications, such as stereoscopic 3-D.


AMD will feature FirePro technology with several partners, including VizRT, Ventuz and MainConcept. more

International Satellite-Industry Forum to take aim at interference

Satellite interference, which each year causes millions of dollars in losses to the satellite industry, will be in the crosshairs of industry professionals at this year’s International Satellite-Industry Forum, Sept. 8 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Amsterdam.


With the theme “Interference – The Counter-Offensive,” the forum is will explore the efforts of broadcasters and satellite industry leaders as they have collaborated to combat satellite interference worldwide. more

IBC Production Village, IBC Big Screen to feature latest in acquisition, exhibition technologies

Production and digital cinema exhibition will take center stage during IBC2011 in Amsterdam, Sept. 8-13, at the IBC Production Village and the IBC Big Screen.


At the IBC Production Village, those attending the convention will get the chance to get hands-on with cutting-edge camera technologies. Stereoscopic 3-D cameras, DSLRs and specialty cameras will be on hand for attendees to compare and rate. A variety of camera equipment will be available for attendees to evaluate. Camera experts also will be available to answer questions and offer buying advice. more
