DVS will showcase support for Panasonic’s new AVC-Ultra codecs with CLIPSTER DI workstation as well as its VENICE broadcast video server.
Support for the new AVC-Intra Class 200 codec provides the products with native support for the latest version of the intra-frame based Panasonic technology, supporting frame rates of up to 1080p50/p60 at a bit rate of 440Mbs. Broadcasters and post-production houses will benefit from visually lossless quality with the most efficient H.264/AVC-Intra compression available in the market. more
Wohler Technologies will unveil functional and operational enhancements to its AMP2-E16V audio/video processing monitor at IBC2011.
The new AMP2-E16V version 5 features a new automation configuration menu and hot keys that allow the unit to recall presets automatically based on a predefined set of conditions. At IBC2011, Grass Valley will unveil a variety of new technologies in multiple areas, including signal transport, media workflow and automation.
New developments include:
• 3G transmission camera system, which eliminates the triax/fiber cable challenge of outside broadcasts. Grass Valley 3G Triax and 3G Fiber now are combined without converters in the new 3G transmission camera system introduced at NAB.
• Media workflow application framework. Grass Valley will demonstrate how users can combine production tools, device control and asset management into workflows and user interfaces that match their needs based on a powerful Service Oriented Architecture.
• Flexible production automation, which includes equipment from third-party vendors as well as Grass Valley’s Ignite production automation environment.

Gefen will unveil several new products at IBC2011 including the 32 x 32 DVI matrix switcher, a mini signal generator for HDMI 3DTV and 4 x 1 DisplayPort KVM switcher.
The 32 x 32 DVI matrix allows any type of switching between 32 computers and 32 displays. Any one-to-one or one-to-many distribution can be controlled by front-panel selector, RS-232, IR remote or any Web browser. more
