Litepanels unveils Hilio high-output line

The new high-output fixture provides the advantages of Litepanel’s proprietary LED technology, while remaining energy efficient. Hilio draws a 125W, yet provides the luminance output of a 1000W conventional tungsten or 650W HMI. more

Power-Cache combines a blend of LTO-5 tape drives, 8TB of RAID and 10Gb Ethernet technologies to provide digital media professionals with faster archive and retrieval transfers, as well as greater flexibility for staging content, making duplicate tape copies and working with Cache-A Library and Expansion units. more

intoPIX expands JPEG 2000 IP-core offering on Altera FPGA devices

JPEG 2000 IP-core solution provider intoPIX announced the availability of its products on the Altera FPGA device families at IBC2011.


The growing adoption of JPEG 2000 in the audiovisual industry has pushed intoPIX to extend its IP core offering to Altera FPGA users, said Jean-Francois Nivart, CSO of intoPIX. more

Panasonic unveils AV-HS410 live switcher

Panasonic introduced the AV-HS410 compact live 1ME HD/SD production switcher at IBC2011.


Like its predecessor, the AV-HS400A, the new all-in-one switcher is 19in wide but provides in its standard configuration nine signal inputs, which are expandable with option boards to a maximum of 13 signal inputs (HD/SD switchable). The 7in color LCD panel displays settings in an easy-to-read format. more

Media Broadcast unveils application for hybrid TV

Media Broadcast showcased its new technology for Web-based on-demand services via hybrid TV at IBC2011.


A barker channel is used to transmit additional Service Information (SI) data, which links to online portals or live streams hosted by various content providers. This presents a whole new program line-up in EPG configurations — not just for digital hybrid receivers, but for linear TV too. more
