Streambox ACT-L3T software-based encoder

Streambox announced the release of a software-only version of the company’s Streambox ACT-L3T Encoder. Typically used for live and file-based newsgathering and video acquisition over low data rate IP networks, the encoder provides additional flexibility for Mac or Windows users as they harness the power of Streambox’s IP-based platform for broadcast and broadband.

Other products shown include mobile version of the above encoder, the ACT-L3. This encoder provides a nifty solution for the streaming of breaking news and events via broadband. With its advanced proprietary compression technologies, a news crew has extended coverage capability and connectivity, while maintaining high video quality.
