Company introduces six new Avocent Emerge® Products for end-to-end video processing

The Emerge VSS products enable AV industry professionals the ability to easily upscale or downscale video to different resolutions and convert video from DVI to VGA or VGA to DVI. SALT LAKE CITY — Jan. 21, 2008 — Utah Scientific today announced that Hearst-Argyle-owned WTAE in Pittsburgh has augmented its existing Utah Scientific UTAH-400 routing switcher with the company‘s MC-2020 master control system, configured with one SD and one HD channel. Because the MC-2020 uses the crosspoints in the UTAH-400 frame, WTAE can attain full-featured master control switching without purchasing, powering, or maintaining an additional matrix. In other words, the MC-2020 squeezes more work out of the UTAH-400, leveraging WTAE‘s initial investment. more

Iroquois, ON, Canada - January 18, 2008-Ross Video today announced the introduction of 3 new production switcher control panels available before NAB 2008 - the Vision 1M, the Vision 2M, and the Vision 2X. The Vision 1M and 2M panels offer 24 crosspoint buttons and the Vision 2X offers 32 crosspoint buttons. This extends the award winning Ross Vision series to a total of 7 control panels including the V1, V1M, V2, V2M, V2X, V3, and V4. All of the control panels can control up to 4 MEs of video processing and connect to the Ross MD and MD-X Live Production Engine chassis.

SALT LAKE CITY — Jan. 9, 2008 – KMBC/KCWE, a Hearst-Argyle broadcaster in Kansas City, Mo., has deployed a UTAH-400 routing switcher from Utah Scientific at the core of a new 51,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located southeast of the city proper. With the new facility, KMBC/KCWE becomes the first HD news station in the No. 31 media market in the United States. more
Iroquois, ON, Canada-December 5, 2007-TV Bandeirantes Group has again invested in Ross, purchasing a Vision 3 Video Production Switcher and an OverDrive Production Control System. One of Brazil‘s largest networks, TV Bandeirantes will use the switcher and automation system for TV Bandeirantes News, interconnected with their existing AP ENPS news system. more
SALT LAKE CITY — Nov. 13, 2007 — Utah Scientific today announced that Public Access Community Television (PACT) in Austin, Texas, has installed a UTAH-400 routing switcher and a UTAH-300 routing switcher along with Utah Scientific‘s SC-4 control system and associated control panels for automated playback of three channels on two cable systems. more
