Broadcast sound specialist Red TX has once again helped a mega band reach out to its fans around the world by capturing the broadcast audio for Coldplay’s recent album launch at the Plaza de Toros Stadium in Madrid.
17,000 fans in the stadium were joined by 44 million other fans around the world to watch the spectacular show on You Tube. Coldplay’s set included hits such as Yellow, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Fix You, Clocks and Viva La Vida as well as the singles Paradise and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall from their new album Mylo Xyloto.

The decision paid off as the festival and two media partners reported impressive online viewing statistics for performers including the Robert Glasper Experiment, Carmen Souza and the Benny Green Trio.
Streaming media and content delivery provider StreamGuys provided the Internet broadcast services for the 54th Monterey Jazz Festival. Evening performances from the Night Club/Bill Berry Stage were hosted live over the websites of the Monterey Jazz Festival and Santa Cruz-based NPR member station KUSP-FM. Turner Studios, the in-house production facility of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner company, has upgraded its Atlanta, Georgia Studios by choosing a LYNX Technik fiber solution to improve the HD video distribution over 204 single mode fiber I/O paths to four of their six studios.
As part of the project to expand video continuity, Turner Studios deployed 102 LYNX Technik yellobrik dual-channel receivers and transmitters that accept uncompressed digital 3Gbit HD-SDI signals. The HD-SDI signals are transmitted over single mode fiber into a central wideband video routing system. The project required 92 ORR 1802 dual 3Gbit fiber to SDI receivers and 10 OTT 1812 dual 3Gbit SDI to fiber transmitters. Together this pair provides a very cost-effective dual channel optical transmission /receiver system for signals up to 1080P, all while preserving the uncompressed signal quality. more

Studio and technical design consultancy White Mark Ltd has designed and installed two new audio suites at the Soho-based facility of Award-winning post production company Wave.
Established by sound designers Warren Hamilton and Johnnie Burn, Wave has a worldwide reputation for audio excellence and a client base that reads like a who’s who of advertising and film making.
Wave’s London-based facility already has seven dubbing studios, all running Soundtracs mixing consoles and 48 track Fairlight MFX3 digital workstations. However, demand for the company’s services had left these rooms at capacity and Wave needed to expand in order to meet client requirements.
