DENVER, CO – Auralex Acoustics, Inc., the industry leader in innovative sound control solutions, continues its leadership in creating environmentally friendly products with the introduction of Eco-Tech, the company’s first green acoustical panel, at this year’s CEDIA show (Booth 630). Earlier this year, the company announced the first green acoustical foam product on the market, Eco-Friendly StudioFoam.
Eco-Tech brand acoustic panels are manufactured with a proprietary formulation of 100% recycled polyester fibers. Eco-Tech panels are truly “green”; reducing the ecological footprint of acoustic treatment and our dependence on fossil fuels, including foreign crude oil. The Eco-Tech family of products are designed with the environment in mind, yet retain the longevity and acoustical properties for which Auralex is known. Auralex Eco-Tech is manufactured without harmful Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s), which have been implicated in the depletion of the ozone layer. more
Sensaphonics Hearing Conservation, Inc., the industry leader in technology for in-ear monitoring (IEM), is introducing the dB Check in-ear sound level analyzer, the first device capable of accurately measuring sound pressure levels with the earphones inserted. Designed to work with Sensaphonics custom earphones, the dB Check is an easy-to-use handheld unit that measures and displays the actual A-weighted SPL and, more importantly, the recommended safe exposure time for that level on both the NIOSH and OSHA scales.
“The dB Check is an industry first, and we’re really excited about it,” notes Sensaphonics President Michael Santucci. “Before now, with their earphones in, musicians could only guess at the actual levels they were experiencing. But dB Check measures and displays the actual in-ear levels in real time. So now, IEM users can know exactly how loud they are monitoring, and how long they can safely listen at that level. It’s really the missing link in hearing conservation for musicians.”
