MHz To Unveil New DSNG Control Technology In Amsterdam
Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK, 14 July 2008: Megahertz Broadcast Systems Ltd (MHz), the respected UK-based independent broadcast and digital media systems integrator, will be returning to the RAI Centre in Amsterdam in the Autumn for the IBC show, the European broadcast community’s most important exhibition. From 12th to 16th September, 2008, representatives from MHz and its North American parent AZCAR will be welcoming IBC attendees to the company’s distinctive two-tier stand at location F20, by the entrance to Hall 11.
This year, MHz’s specialists will be showcasing a new solution they have developed in-house for the remote control of outside broadcast vehicles via satellite. With the aid of a recently completed DSNG vehicle on the stand, the team will be demonstrating the application live at the show, controlling the internal systems of the vehicle from a remote laptop. more

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – August 15, 2008 … CTV Television Inc recently signed agreements with Lawo North America to purchase and install a sizeable audio production system as part of an extensive facility upgrade that will transform an existing analog studio to full HD (high definition) capability. The agreement encompasses Lawo’s new 48-fader mc²56 digital production console, a 16-fader zirkon XL console, along with both Nova 73HD and Nova 17 routers. Delivery of the equipment is slated for October 2008, with scheduled completion by the end of the calendar year. more
CBS Affiliate in Roanoke, VA Streamlines HD and SDI Broadcasts
AJA Video Systems, a leading manufacturer of professional video interface and conversion solutions, announced today that it has completed a sale of 23 FS1 converters to CBS affiliate WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, VA, via AJA reseller Digital Video Group, Inc. WDBJ-TV has been in operation since 1955, and began broadcasting in HD in 2002, when the station moved to a new facility. Since then, WDBJ-TV has continued to add new HD capabilities, but the conversion to HD began in earnest this year as the station began to produce its nighttime newscasts entirely in high definition. more
