DK-Technologies has unveiled the PT0710M HD/SD waveform monitor, a single channel version of the acclaimed PT0760M that won a TV Technology STAR Award at NAB last year.
Billed at the PT0760M’s baby brother, the PT0710M can display Red, Green, Blue and luminance plus Gamut errors. It is available with a variety of upgrades, making it ideally suited to smaller production studios and Outside Broadcast vehicles that don’t currently need a multi-channel unit but would like the option of adding functionality at a later stage. These upgrades include external reference from Black Burst or Tri-level signals, Vectorscope, audio de-embedding of up to 16 channels, simple bar graph audio metering, Dolby E decoding, full 5.1 metering via the DK StarFishTM/JellyFishTM display and a full range of 8 audio channel input and output plug-in cards. more
Dynamics processing specialist Jünger Audio has launched a new ESDI card which is specifically designed for Satellite Digital Re Broadcasters. The ESDI card provides the ideal solution for controlling loudness for all incoming signals. Each SDI stream runs independently – the signals don’t need to be locked to a house reference.
The ESDI card combines one SDI interface with one DSP unit that automatically handles individual audio Loudness processing. It is designed for digital satellite TV, where SDI based incoming signals don’t match a uniform synchronisation and have widely varying levels. The basic version comes with an SD-SDI interface and offers 4-channels of LEVEL MAGIC processing. Upgrade to HD-SDI and to 8-channel Level Magic Surround are available by software license key. more
DK-Technologies has announced the provision of Closed Caption monitoring for its prestigious range of waveform monitors.
Introduced in response to market demand, Closed Caption monitoring will be available for both HD & SD video signals and will be able to read any of the 4 closed caption channels through simple channels selection.
DK-Technologies will be demonstrating this new level of functionality at the NAB Convention, where it will also be showing updated software for its ground-breaking PT0760M HD/SD Multi-channel Video Waveform Monitor. more
Dynamics processing specialist Jünger Audio has announced the launch of the ANA Series of input/processing cards. Designed to help terrestrial re-broadcasters tackle loudness and synchronisation issues, these new cards will start shipping within the next three months.
Re-broadcasters with traditional re-transmission requirements (for example cable TV service providers, hotels, airports, shopping centres etc) have long been plagued by widely varying source input levels and desynchronized signals. To resolve these issues they often have to make several manual corrections a day to achieve more acceptable loudness results for their viewers. And even when they do make these changes, the results are often far from perfect. more
