Toronto, Ontario, Canada – November 3, 2009… For the recent 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany, Burlington, Ontario, Canada-based Broadcast Services International (BSI)—the firm contracted to provide technical production for this year’s event—selected two Lawo mc²56 digital consoles to handle audio mixing chores. The internationally recognized sporting event, which ran from August 15th – 23rd, showcased many of the best track and field athletes in the world and also offered Berliners and visitors to the city the opportunity to enjoy a special cultural program that took place in celebration of the occasion. more

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – October 1, 2009… Together with the staff and many guests of honor at their company headquarters in Rastatt/Germany on September 18th, Lawo AG celebrated with a topping out ceremony for their new building. New rooms, directly adjoining the current premises, have expanded the ground floor to double its size (from 11,500 sq ft. to 23,000 sq ft.). ‘Moving house’ will take place at the end of 2009. The additional space is mainly designed to achieve a more efficient manufacturing process with a significant increase in capacity. The new part of the building also provides additional offices and demo studios. This current development is the largest expansion in the company’s history. more

For the 2009 NAB Show, the interactive and marketing teams at NAB set out to significantly expand our online video coverage of the event, increasing both the quantity and quality of content available on our website at www.nabshow.com. In essence, our goal was to serve as a web 2.0 newsroom, while also creating unique and dynamic content for consumption by the entire lifecycle.

In addition to our usual daily show highlights packages, we also produced feature segments from the exhibition floor hosted by ‘on-air’ talent; segments from NAB sessions, luncheons and keynotes; interviews; and after-hours and off-site clips to help convey the overall atmosphere of the NAB Show and its positive effects on not only Las Vegas, but the industry as a whole. more
