Blackmagic Design Announces Acquisition of Teranex Systems Inc.
Orlando, Florida, USA - December 7, 2011 - Blackmagic Design (www.blackmagic-design.com) today announced its acquisition of Teranex Systems Inc. (www.teranex.com), a leading manufacturer of high performance video processing products for the post production and broadcast industries. Teranex, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackmagic Design.

San Diego, California — DVEO, the broadcast division of Computer Modules, Inc. (CMI), is proud to announce that they have successfully resumed production of several types of DVB Master™ DVB-ASI cards and expect to have most cards back in production. In June 2011, DVEO purchased the intellectual assets of Linear Systems, Ltd. of Winnipeg, Canada, their long-term supplier of PCIe and PCI interface cards for DVB-ASI and SDI/HD-SDI.
The cards’ manufacturing is being outsourced to a third party company near San Diego. San Diego, California — DVEO, the broadcast division of Computer Modules, Inc. (CMI), announced today that they have purchased the assets of their long-time supplier, Linear Systems, Ltd. of Winnipeg, Canada.
Linear Systems, DVEO’s long-term supplier of PCIe and PCI interface cards for DVB-ASI and SDI, decided to close their business in late April. Linear Systems designed, manufactured, and supported the products with a top-notch set of engineers.
DVEO has acquired Linear Systems’ technology assets, including designs, manufacturing rights, source code, and PCB (printed circuit board) layouts, etc. DVEO will continue to manage sales and tech support of products formerly manufactured by Linear.
