NewTek, worldwide leader of video and 3D animation products, today announced that the NewTek Board of Directors has promoted Andrew Cross to Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Cross will oversee the technology direction of the company’s hardware and software products, and report to NewTek CEO and President, Jim Plant.

Apantac LLC will demonstrate its new TAHOMA-Mini-Q Multiviewer at NAB2011, booth N2530.
The TAHOMA-Mini-Q is a fixed quad-split Multiviewer that auto-detects four 3G/HD/SD-SDI and composite (PAL / NTSC) signal inputs and displays them as DVI, HDMI, HD-SDI or VGA signals on a single display. It supports output resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 including 1080p.
It can be used as a standalone quad-split Multiviewer or expanded to a full system where up to eight hot-swappable TAHOMA-Mini-Q modules can be combined in a 3RU rack frame with hot swappable redundant power supplies.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (February 17, 2011) – Vaddio, the global leader in robotic PTZ cameras and camera control systems has officially launched the Squiggle Video Whiteboard Kit designed for videoconferencing, educational and corporate training facilities.
Capable of being installed alongside almost any existing whiteboard, the Squiggle converts whiteboard notes into and an HD or SD video signal. Because no dedicated PC is required, the video signal can then be connected to any videoconferencing, TelePresence, distance education or video media distribution system. In addition to HD/SD outputs, data can be captured and stored as a JPEG image onto any USB flash drive.
