The ideal broadcast down converter for those with no spare rack space

Q-Down Mini broadcast down converterCrystal Vision has released Q-Down Mini – a new version of its popular broadcast down converter and distribution amplifier. Q-Down Mini is Crystal Vision’s first minibox and has been designed for attaching directly to the back of SD monitors in space-challenged environments with no spare rack space.

Q-Down Mini is a down converter with two major advantages: a unique level of image quality in its price range (with its sophisticated two dimensional filtering which avoids aliasing while retaining picture sharpness) and a short processing delay of just 16 lines which eliminates the need to compensate audio signals for the video delay. This customer-requested product was developed because Austrian broadcaster ORF could find no alternative standalone product with the same level of conversion quality or short delay for the HD upgrade of its OB vehicle, which was retaining most more

DISTRIBUTE ANY ANALOG SOURCE WITH CRYSTAL VISION’S FLEXIBLE NEW DAS

vda110mhd.jpgCrystal Vision has introduced three video distribution amplifiers ideal for any analog source. The VDA110M HD, VDA110R HD and VDA210M HD have been designed for the distribution of SD Black & Burst or HD Tri-level syncs analog reference, or for distributing SD or HD analog video. Between them they offer the choice of varying numbers of inputs, outputs, loop-throughs and manual or remote control to suit any installation requirements.

The single channel VDA110M HD gives a maximum of eleven outputs or ten outputs with a loop-through and includes board edge adjustment of gain and equalization. The VDA110R HD is another single channel board which gives a maximum of eleven outputs or ten outputs with a loop-through, but includes remote adjustment of gain, equalization and clamp, as well as sophisticated error reporting including dark and white clip video, with the remote control options including an active front panel on the frame, a remote control panel or the Statesman PC software. The VDA110M HD and VDA110R HD can be used with six different frame rear modules (the RM01, RM02, RM09, RM10, RM16 and RM18) to give the perfect output combination for every application.

For multi-channel applications where fewer outputs are required, the dual channel VDA210M HD gives a maximum of five outputs per channel (or four outputs with a loop-through), with gain and equalisation adjustable by board edge. Different output combinations are available using four different frame rear modules (the RM01, RM02, RM15 and RM18). more
