Brainstorm’s new SR-112 Time Code Distripalyzer, replaces the industry standard SR-15+. It is a time code reader, distributor, reshaper, analyzer and generator all in a 1U rack mount device. The analyzer indicates format, frame rate, errors and video phase and outputs a comprehensive report; the 1×12 distributor reshapes the signal; the optional generator repairs drop-outs and generates new code. All SMPTE and EBU SD/HD rates are supported. Ethernet is included for reporting and to set parameters and update firmware.

C10 HD Streamlines Production While Improving Quality
KUWAIT CITY, KUWAIT – The Kuwait Broadcast Service (KBS), a major radio broadcasting and performance facility operated by the Ministry of Information (MOI) for the government of Kuwait, has recently upgraded four studios with Solid State Logic C10 HD Compact Broadcast Consoles. MOI/KBS encompasses nine radio stations, five drama studios, four editing suites, three live music/rehearsal spaces and one large concert hall. Sampson joins AJA from Autodesk’s Media & Entertainment Division where he spent over 15 years in various sales management positions. NORTHRIDGE, California— HARMAN’s Studer has appointed Michael Franklin to the position of Senior Sales Manager in the United States. Franklin’s primary responsibility will be to help drive sales of Studer digital consoles in the broadcast market throughout the country.
Franklin brings a strong background in business development and sales in the industry, having worked most recently with Solid State Logic, in addition to more than 13 years with Euphonix. His experience includes the development of sustainable relationships with prominent end clients, increasing sales revenue and successfully growing the presence of his companies into new markets.

Based in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat Tower will be home to seven television and six radio stations, featuring 13 television studios as well as 50 editing suites, greatly expanding the number of television channels available in the state.
The Ashgabad Tower project was handled by Istanbul-based Polimeks, one of the largest construction companies in Turkey. More than 40,000 fans took their seats at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff this month to enjoy Michael Forever, a star-studded tribute to Michael Jackson.
The concert featured performances from a variety of artists including Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis Smokey Robinson, JLS, Ne-Yo, JLS, Pixie Lott and Cee Lo Green. The fans, many of whom were dressed in Michael Jackson attire, were treated to spectacular performances on a huge stage, which was billed as the largest event rig ever used at a European stadium.
Behind the scenes, broadcast sound specialists Red TX were on hand to record the live audio for subsequent broadcast on Sky Arts and various other television channels around the world. The company employed its new Red II truck, which was manned by Red TX director Tim Summerhayes with assistance from Ollie Nesham and Ben Summerhayes.
