Utah Scientific Names Rick Bowley Eastern U.S. Technical and Sales Support Engineer

SALT LAKE CITY — Sept. 22, 2008 — Utah Scientific today announced the appointment of Rick Bowley as technical and sales support engineer for the eastern United States. Bowley, headquartered in New York state, will provide technical support, system commissioning, and customer training.

A 30-year industry veteran with varied hands-on and executive experience in broadcast and media operations, Bowley comes to Utah Scientific after 14 years as principal of DyCOMM, which offered independent media production and engineering services. From 1986-1996, Bowley worked for Computer Generated Imagery (CGI), eventually serving as vice president and general manager. Prior to CGI, he was engineering maintenance supervisor for WSTM-TV3 in Syracuse, N.Y. He had previously worked in the northeastern region for Ampex Corporation as a field service engineer and engineering consultant. He started his career in television engineering with the State University of New York at Oneonta and Oswego, where he also studied broadcast communications.

Bowley’s new responsibilities include pre- and post-sale technical support, commissioning, and customer training on Utah’s routing and master control product lines. He starts his new role immediately, reporting to Randy Rose, Utah Scientific’s customer service manager.

“I look forward to bringing my experience and know-how to Utah Scientific’s dedicated team with its proven, practical, and forward-looking approach to technology as well as its renowned reputation for service,” said Bowley.

“Rick brings extensive experience, a varied skill set, and a fine reputation for integrity to Utah Scientific,” said Tom Harmon, president and CEO of Utah Scientific. We are confident that his presence will enable us to continue to provide our growing customer base in the eastern United States with the outstanding service and support for which we are known.”
