StreamScope™ Enterprise Monitor (EM-40)

At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2008, Triveni Digital will demonstrate its new StreamScope™ Enterprise Monitor (EM-40) enterprise-wide service-quality assurance solution. The StreamScope EM-40 is aimed at proactive, real-time, service-based response. It proactively detects, localizes, analyzes, isolates, and remedies faults impacting video services based on predefined rules. This allows broadcasters, service providers, and IPTV networks to reduce customer downtime and complaint response costs by providing the user with full remote analysis capabilities for any monitored streams. Alarms are generated when a transport stream has fallen outside a specified configuration. Integrated trend analysis enables engineering staff to analyze past issues. The StreamScope EM-40 ensures:

• Network integrity

• Video quality of service

• Viewer satisfaction

• Lower customer service costs, lower churn, higher revenues

StreamScope™ RM-40SE MPEG Video Monitoring Solution

Triveni Digital adds the RM-40SE low-cost RF monitoring probe to its StreamScope™ test and measurement product line. The RM-40SE is a full-featured, in-depth, 24/7 unattended remote monitoring instrument that performs comprehensive MPEG video monitoring for real-time RF streams. The RM-40SE offers all the analyzing functionality as the RM-40 base and High Bandwidth Edition (HBE). The optional Remote Troubleshooting Module (RTm) provides remote analysis capabilities including the unique postmortem analysis functionality allowing users to analyze issues up to two weeks in the past. The small form factor design is a powerful, user-friendly, low-cost monitoring solution that verifies DTV transport streams carried by service providers including cable, telcos, satellite, mobile TV, and IPTV operators.

In addition to the well-established standards supported by the StreamScope line, including ATSC, ATSC A/78, and ETR 101 290, Triveni Digital’s RM-40SE now also represents the first implementation of the new SCTE-142 standard.

The introduction of the EM-40 and the RM-40SE rounds up a complete monitoring solution focusing across the entire broadcast/broadband operation, whether on a local, regional, or national scale.

StreamScope™ MT-40 Real-Time DTV Transport Stream Monitor and Analyzer

Triveni Digital’s StreamScope™ MT-40 monitor is a comprehensive, user-friendly instrument for real-time analysis and verification of DTV transport streams. The system facilitates end-to-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis for DTV signals carried by broadcast, cable, satellite, IPTV, or mobile networks. With in-depth troubleshooting and analysis capabilities for multiple signals over all commonly encountered physical layers including deep packet inspection, the MT-40 can monitor, alarm, troubleshoot, record, and measure DTV transport streams in order to ensure their integrity, reliability, and compliance with standards (ATSC, ATSC A/78, SCTE 35, SCTE 18).

Key features of the MT-40 include QPSK, 64/256 QAM, ASI, GigE, and file inputs; SNMP support for remote management; remote monitoring with full-featured connectivity to remote users; IP route analysis; IGMPv3 for IP multicast support; electronic program guide (EPG) display; unique, value-added PSIP and PSI cross-table consistency checking; SD or HD video thumbnails; and real-time PCR analysis and video and audio buffer analysis with graphs. The MT-40 also interfaces with Triveni Digital’s RM-40 unattended remote monitoring system to provide a meaningful picture of DTV transport streams across a network.
