SHINING TECHNOLOGY DELIVERS WORLD’S FIRST 160GB ULTRA-PORTABLE TAPELESS VIDEO RECORDER

Award-Winning CitiDISK™ Maker Expands Line, Supporting DV/HDV/DVCPRO™ HD Video Cameras - Eliminates Hours of Video Recapture.

LAS VEGAS (NAB, Booth # SU6830) - Shining Technology, Inc. (http://www.shining.com), a global provider of tapeless recording and conversion hardware for the video and broadcast markets, announces a 160GB version of its award-winning, patent-protected CitiDISK™ family of tapeless recording storage peripherals.

Big Things, Small Package

Weighing a featherlight 10oz., the CitiDISK 160GB model is the world’s highest-capacity ultra-portable tapeless video storage device - an industry breakthrough.

The battery-operated CitiDISK easily attaches to virtually any FireWire-enabled DV or HDV video camera, and many DVCPRO™ HD cameras. The unit’s tapeless workflow saves videographers and editors countless hours of digitizing videotapes. Instead, they can “recapture” more creative and production time.

With CitiDISK, users seamlessly record their footage directly to digital video formats and access it immediately for editing (compatible with widely-used NLE (non-linear editing) software packages, including Final Cut Pro, Avid, Canopus, Adobe, Matrox and Sony Vegas).

Applications

CitiDISK is a valuable production tool for nearly any studio or field DV environment, especially where instant playback and/or editing (Same-Day Editing) are required. Examples include:

Weddings & Events

Tradeshows & Conferences

House of Worship (HOW)

Education

News & Sports

Documentary

Government

Security & Surveillance

Complimentary Storage

With 160GB yielding up to 160 minutes of recording time, CitiDISK is a compelling, cost-effective supplement to DVCPRO HD production arsenals using P2 Cards. Currently, the highest capacity P2 Card is 32GB, yielding up to 32 minutes.

In addition, other external video storage drives are significantly heavier, have a larger footprint and offer less storage capacity while costing nearly double that of CitiDISK.

Pricing & Availability

The CitiDISK 160GB model will ship in Q2 2008. MSRP is $1395.00 for HDV cameras, and $1495.00 for HD cameras. A complete line of CitiDISK accessories is also available, including multiple mounting options. All products are available through Shining Technology’s international distribution network, accessible at http://www.shining.com
