Cinevideogroup Equips State-of-the-Art High-Def Broadcast Vans with RTS® Intercom

Hilversum, The Netherlands Netherlands-based Cinevideogroup caused a stir recently with the acquisition of two new RTS®-equipped high-definition OB vehicles.

Cinevideogroup’s new OBV’s (Outside Broadcast Vans), equipped with high-end components including a RTS® ADAM matrix intercom, are widely used in mobile productions throughout Europe. Some recent productions include the games of the Spanish first division clubs Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and FC Valencia for the American Rainbow Sports Network. The trucks have also been used to record a show of the Dutch Starkomikers Sjaak Bral, a Berlin concert by The Cure and a Simply Red concert in Sicily.

The trucks are booked solid through the rest of 2008. Upcoming productions include matches of the Primera Liga, and concerts by Mariah Carey and Iron Maiden. To ensure optimal communication during every production, Cinevideogroup entrusted RTS®. One of the broadcast vans is equipped with a comprehensive 128-port ADAM matrix, the other features a Cronus®. Both broadcast vans include KP-32 Classic and KP-12 keypanels.

The high-end ADAM is ideal for broadcast production. It supports 8 to 1000+ users per system; 272 ports are possible in just a 7RU frame.

Utilizing a Time Division Multiplex (TDM) technique, the ADAM grows linearly as users are added; the system comes standard with newly-redesigned redundant high current power supplies, and the new redundant Ethernet master controllers, MCII-e, allowing for automatic changeover in the event of failure. The MCII-e master controller allows Ethernet connectivity between the ADAM intercom and a PC running AZedit programming software. It can support 32 simultaneous AZedit sessions via Ethernet and 3 sessions via serial.

ADAM is available with the widest variety of interface cards in the industry, which includes the AIO-16, AES-3, and RVON-16 VoIP interfaces. It also has a wide variety of cabling options, including RJ-11s, DB-9s, jack fields, and many others.

Cinevideogroup -a member of United Broadcast Media Group- is one of Europe’s specialists in mobile broadcast facilities. Based in the Netherlands, they provide an exceptional standard of service to a wide variety of national and international clients throughout Europe.

Cinevideogroup specializes in coverage of live sports and music events but also has unrivaled experience in televising live chat shows and in the production of commercials and corporate programs both on location and in a studio environment.
