Petrol Introduces Dr. Petrol Camera Carrier

Petrol, a Vitec Group brand, introduces the Dr. Petrol camera carrier. Inspired by the traditional doctor‘s bag, this new semi-hard equipment bag is uniquely designed to hold a camera and accessories comfortably and securely and offer fast and easy access to its contents.

Dr. Petrol‘s hinged top unzips smoothly and opens extra wide to the generous central compartment. Inside there is ample room for inserting a camera fully equipped, without disturbing the mic, viewfinder, or mattebox system. Detachable padded dividers help secure contents and can be custom configured for important accessories like batteries and a camera light. Contents are cradled on all sides by layers of cushioned orange fabric. Upper panels of shockproof, cold-molded laminate safeguard equipment and provide extra protection. Other features include an exterior side pocket for additional storage, U-Grip interlock carrying handle, adjustable, ergonomic padded shoulder strap, and Petrol‘s dual directional easy-glide zippers. The carrier‘s exterior is constructed of heavy-duty blue and black Cordura.

The new Dr. Petrol camera bag is available in six sizes. The PDRB-1 measures 13.4” L x 7.1” W x 8.9” H (34cm x 18cm x 22.5cm) and fits cameras like the Sony PDX-10 and Panasonic DVC-30. The PDRB-2 is 15.4” L x 8.3” W x 10.2” H (39cm x 21cm x 26cm) and holds the Panasonic DVX-100/A/B, Sony PD100/150/170 and similar size cameras. The PDRB-3 is 17.7” L x 9.8” W x 10” H (45cm x 25cm x 25.5cm) and is tailored for the Sony PMW-EX1 and HVR-FX1/Z1/V1, Canon XL and XH series, etc. The PDRB-4 measures 21.3” L x 11” W x 10.4” H (54cm x 28cm x 26.5cm) and is sized for the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and JVC GY-HD100.
