Streambox Receives Government Video Salute Award for Innovative New Products

SEATTLE — Nov. 28, 2007 — Streambox, Inc. today announced that it was honored with a Government Video Salute award for product innovation at the GVExpo conference and exhibition, held in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 14 -16. The award, presented by the editors of NewBay Media‘s Government Video magazine, recognizes products that demonstrate particular appeal in the government video marketplace. Award-winning products will be featured in the December issue of Government Video.

Streambox earned the Salute Award for its new, fully rugged version of its industry-leading Portable Video Transport system typically used for mobile newsgathering, emergency response, and armed forces operations. The rugged encoder, which meets or exceeds Mil STD 810F, is ideal for use in environments where extreme temperatures are the norm and exposure to adverse weather and rough handling is expected. The innovative video transport solution utilizes the Streambox® ACT-L3™ codec and advanced compression technologies widely used by news organizations worldwide. The new system, which features an extended battery life, is integrated into one super-compact, portable device supplied with a sturdy carry handle for easy transport. It gives the user ultimate flexibility in terms of mobility without sacrificing performance, reliability, and quality.

“It‘s a great honor for us to be recognized by Government Video for our innovative products and solutions, and we are proud that our products are gaining momentum in the government marketplace,” said Bob Hildeman, chairman and CEO at Streambox. “Our real-time portable video transport systems offer the performance and reliability that challenging environments demand. This makes them ideal for a variety of applications, including emergency response, law enforcement, and mobile command centers for the armed forces.”
