University of Iowa Commences Digital Upgrade With UTAH-400 Routing System

Iconix HD-RH1 Camera System Used on ESPN‘s ‘E:60‘

New Primetime Newsmagazine Show Uses POV Camera To Capture High Definition Bullfighting Footage


Santa Barbara, CA: October 22, 2007–Iconix Video, manufacturer of the world‘s smallest professional quality HD video camera, today announced the use of the Iconix HD-RH1 camera system to capture bullfighting footage for ESPN‘s new multi-themed primetime newsmagazine show, “E:60.”


“E:60,” which airs nationally on ESPN Tuesdays at 7:00PM Eastern, includes sports-focused investigative reports, personality profiles and features on emerging sports trends and innovations. The Iconix HD-RH1 was employed by veteran cameraman Bob Sloan to capture high definition footage of a bull charging the camera for a segment entitled “Baby Bullfighters.” more

David Pavlik Joins Canon Broadcast as Midwest Regional Sales Manager

David Pavlik has joined Canon U.S.A., Inc.‘s Broadcast and Communications Division as Regional Sales Manager Responsible for the Midwest Region.


David comes to Canon with extensive experience in film and video production as well as broadcast television. His most recent position was Senior Account Manager for Fletcher Chicago, where he spent the past ten years. While at Fletcher, David worked with a wide range of clients, including media production companies, commercial advertising agencies, television stations, corporate media producers, and independent feature film producers. His responsibilities involved consulting with these customers on digital and high-definition film and television production equipment rental packages. Prior to that, he worked as an Account Manager at Chicago‘s Films Incorporated, a film distribution company, and earlier at the Florida production facility of the Anheuser-Busch Company.

TV Magic Hires Key Staff, Opens New York Metro Office

SAN DIEGO — Oct. 22, 2007 — Broadcast systems integrator TV Magic today announced that it has strengthened its New York City presence with the addition of two industry veterans, both of whom will work out of the new TV Magic offices in the New York City metro area.
