ScheduALL Receives Tektronix Cerify Developer Community Award

One of Three Companies Recognized for Supporting Industry Advances Towards Tapeless/File-Based Production

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Oct. 9, 2007 — ScheduALL, a leading provider of broadcast production and operations management software, today announced that it has received a Cerify Developer Community (CDC) award from Tektronix, Inc. The award recognizes companies that have undertaken development work and support of key customer projects in the move to tapeless/file-based production.

ScheduALL received the award from Arif Kareem, Tektronix‘s vice president, Video Products, at a ceremony at the recent IBC2007 show in Amsterdam. Other award recipients include S4M and overall CDC award winner Pro-Bel. All three are members of the CDC, an expanding group of companies that have been working together for more than a year to help broadcasters maximize the benefits of moving to a file-based workflow.

“ScheduALL won this award for its work in integrating its broadcast resource management system with Tektronix Cerify systems using the CeriTalk control interface. Its efforts will ensure that its broadcast customers can fully capitalize on the benefits of file-based production and playout,” said Simon Begent, marketing and operations manager, Cerify, Tektronix, Inc. “By using Cerify, broadcasters can ensure that their material is correct in terms of encoding, data structure, and video/audio baseband quality. Cerify is one of a new generation of Tektronix video test and monitoring tools designed to help companies meet the challenges of the new digital world.”

“The Tektronix CDC award represents real industry validation of ScheduALL‘s efforts to offer world-class solutions for helping broadcasting companies improve operations,” said Rick Legow, president of ScheduALL. “We applaud Tektronix for being at the forefront of industry efforts to make the new file-based paradigm cost-effective and easy to implement.”

Tektronix‘s Cerify is the world‘s first fully automated system capable of verifying the quality of file-based, compressed digital video and audio content prior to transmission or use. It is the only product that fully tests all aspects of content to ensure that it meets system parameters, formats, resolutions, bit rates, video/audio quality levels, metadata, and compliance/correctness to a wide range of specified video and audio standards. As a CDC member, ScheduALL is among a group of server, automation, and related companies that have directly interfaced their technology to Cerify via the CeriTalk API. This provides broadcasters with a full-featured, integrated approach to quality control in a file-based world.
